Choc-chip banana power smoothie

The older and wiser I get I realise how important nutrient rich food is. That is food that has high levels of vitamins & mineral. I’ve always love healthy fresh food but now I see that each mouthful needs to be full of nutritional goodness.

I still let slip some pure comfort foods but
the majority of my diet is fresh, potent and of course delicious!

My taste buds still govern what I eat most of the time. You’ve probably heard me say, “it’s gotta taste good too!” so this smoothie is a fabulous balance of taste & potent nutrients.
Get onto some of these superfoods, stock your cupboards and you won’t regret it. You’ll even feel the positive impact that they have on your well being moments after they have past your taste buds! Awesome!

Let me sing the praise again of the widely known raw cacao bean. It has excellent antioxidant properties, it is minerally rich and has fantastic mood enhancing effects. It has the highest concentration of antioxidants than any food in the world. It protects us for free radical damage and age related health issues.
It is the No.1 source of magnesium, Magnesium supports the heart, and it's rich in iron, so is healthy for the production of haemoglobin. It increases brain power, as well as being beneficial for relaxing menstrual cramps, oxygenating the blood, and is an amazing anti-inflammatory.  It is excellent for building the immune system, supporting the liver, the pancreas, healthy skin, good for depression, and so much more!
I’m going to go and make one now!

Makes = 3-4 small glasses full
2-3 tbs cacao powder (or as chocolatey as you like!)
1-2 tbs maca powder
1 tbs mesquite powder
1tbs cacao nibs
2-3 tbs hemp oil *
1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp reishi mushroom powder
4-5 medium size frozen banana's
3 cups of milk of your choice (aprox 750ml).
Add all the ingredients into a blender except the cacao nibs and blend until smooth and creamy.
To sweeten alittle more, add more banana’s or mesquite powder :D
Then stir in cacao nibs and pour into glasses.
Garnish with extra sprinkles of cacao nibs & cinnamon powder. Mmmmmmmm!

Please note: Hemp food products are still illegal to consume in Australia – so only add hemp oil if you live in USA, Canada or Europe).
